Two Hours (series)
Taryn, Charcoal on Paper, 24x36, 2010
Two Hours is a series of 4 process drawings created by every resident in my house in Guelph. I placed a sheet of paper and hand-made carbon paper underneath each of my housemates’ computer chairs and had them go about their routine at their desk, removing the paper and returning it to me at the end of two hours. The drawings are traces of every movement and action each individual made within those hours, and as a result serve as unconventional self portraits.
